Bellísima Dance Troupe


In September of 2000, Johara formed Bellísima, a contemporary Bellydance Fusion troupe, which united her passion for Middle Eastern, Urban World Beat, and Latin music and dance styles.

Bellísima is a contemporary Middle Eastern dance troupe performing in the Boston area. Under the direction of Johara, this troupe sizzles to the rhythmic and sensual music of artists such as Hakim, Chakira, Natacha Atlas, and Alabina. Bellisima has performed at the Stuart Street Theater, The Dance Complex (for the production of Celestial Bodies: 2001 Bellydance Odyssey), Sophia’s Latin nightclub, and the Karoun Middle Eastern restaurant.. The troupe and its individual members: Lucia, Casita, Tiiu, Meiver, and Johara are available for performances as well as private and corporate functions.
